This project is the Outer Ring Road Greening Project for the Resilient City (Landscaping) around Zhengzhou North Longhu Financial Island, with a design scope of approximately 22.75 hectares surrounding the waterfront area of the island's outer ring. The project aims to establish a circular landscape system integrating “ecological resilience, urban vitality, and smart operation,”creating a green gateway and public living room for an international financial business district. With the overall vision of a “Forest in the Lake,”the design forms a landscape structure of “Two Rings, Six Corridors, Four Zones, and Multiple Nodes,” encompassing Urban Vitality Zone, Leisure & Entertainment Zone, Natural Healing Zone, and Business Image Zone. It integrates slow-traffic systems, waterfront spaces, smart facilities, and seasonal thematic activities, comprehensively enhancing the area's ecological value, spatial quality, and cultural appeal.
The project deeply responds to the functional positioning of Financial Island as a high-end business district and its surrounding environmental characteristics, employing a systematic design with the core philosophy of “multi-dimensional restructuring, full-system operation, and long-cycle maintenance.” The scheme between the outer ring road and the Long Lake waterfront, utilizing various vertical treatment methods such as gentle slopes, terraces, retaining walls, and boardwalks to create rich and accessible touring experiences. The core dual-loop system consists of a 3.8-kilometer outer ring slow-traffic path and a 4-kilometer waterfront leisure vitality loop, connecting over ten thematic nodes including Starry Sky Theater, Sports Park, Children's Playground, Sunset Tower,Sunrise Platform, Five Senses Garden, and Boat Dock.
