From the entrance, it is divided into three major areas and seven landscape theme parks. These three themes respectively incorporate three layers of meaning; The first level encompasses the three fundamental Buddhist concepts of "impermanence", "non-self" and "silence", and the design integrates these three invisible meanings into the landscape. Among them, due to the definition of its academy, the design of the academy has incorporated the concepts of education, openness and inclusiveness.
The explicit landscape design of the entire academy in the three sections is derived from Master Xingyun's life experiences, focusing on the three concepts of "enlightening goodness", "accumulating goodness" and "expanding goodness". Subsequently, in the landscape design, we apply the traditional educational meanings of "propriety", "righteousness" and "benevolence", which are respectively hidden in the three major sections of the entire academy.
Among them, "Li" represents the image area of the entrance. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Lian Qiqiang, a minister of the State of Chu, once said, "For court appointments, there is GUI; for enjoying the view, there is zhang." There are minor reports on work performance and significant achievements in inspection. Set a machine but do not lean on it, a full cup but do not drink it. There are fine feasts and accompanying tripods for meals. When entering, there is labor; when leaving, bribes are given. This is the ultimate courtesy. As a part of traditional Chinese culture, "li" has now evolved into an attitude - a welcoming and inclusive attitude towards visitors and guests.
As the image area at the entrance of the academy, it also incorporates the concept of "heart" from Buddhism. It also symbolizes the core of the academy and the core of Buddhism - "mutual reflection of hearts". Whether they are guests from afar or scholars who come to meditate and take a break from their studies, all of them use their "hearts" to perceive, understand, learn and communicate. This is a starting point and also the beginning of the entire journey.
