The design plan for the first phase of the Sui and Tang Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park

The 10,000-mu ecological garden project of the Sui and Tang Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park starts from Longmen Avenue in the east, extends to Wangcheng Avenue and the southern extension of Jiefang Road in the west, reaches the Luo River in the north, and ends at Gucheng Road in the south, covering a total area of 10,750 mu. With the theme of "Let the World Return to Luoyang", an open citizens' leisure ecological garden will be built, mainly focusing on the protection of the Sui and Tang Luoyang City ruins, tourism development and cultural display, to create a Sui and Tang cultural and leisure sightseeing tourism destination with influence in China. A viewing platform can be planned within the project area, offering a panoramic view of the entire urban area from a height and perspective, fully showcasing the charm of the ancient capital Luoyang.

The project area is divided into two parts from west to east along the axis of Sui-Tang Garden North Road (from Wangcheng Avenue to Nietai Road), Nietai Road (from Sui-Tang Garden North Road to Shengli Canal), and Shengli Canal (extending in a straight line from Nietai Road to Longmen Avenue). The area south of the axis is regarded as the first phase of the project. Relying on the layout of the Sui and Tang Dynasty neighborhoods and drawing on the courtyard and architectural styles of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the area is positioned as an urban ecological park that integrates historical culture, low carbon, leisure and entertainment, making it consistent with the style of the Sui and Tang Dynasty neighborhood protection project.
